Our first GreenFest sustainability festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday 4th December - see you there!!!

Corrimal Rotary Club's one day sustainability festival will be held at Corrimal High School on Sunday 4th December 2022 – a fun day where urban gardeners, nature lovers and environmentalists can connect.

In 2021 Rotary International added Supporting the Environment as a 7th Area of Focus, recognising the issues that our planet is facing and the work that many Rotary Clubs have already started across the world.

Corrimal Rotary has established the Corrimal Rotary Environment Group (CREG) within our club and CREG members have been working on environmental issues for a few years now.  They hold regular beach and creek clean ups locally and are working with others in community gardens.

GreenFest is set to educate and inspire environmentalists of all ages, igniting their passion for taking positive action towards sustainability in their home, neighbourhood and beyond.

Please bring your pre- loved children's books , your  blister packs left over from medications and your children's broken plastic toys.

We can get the books to Illawarra children who need them, via community preschools, schools and refuges; the blister packs to a company in Sydney which recycles them and the broken plastic toys to recyclers who make them into other products, through Woolworths and Terracycle.

Watch out for our bins to recycle these three products,  near the Rotary caravan at Greenfest.

Children's Area
We will have a dedicated Children's Area where they will be able to build things from our bin of recycleable things, read a story about animals and the environment or join in at our Games Area.

Upcycle a Sculpture !!!    Reduce - Recycle – Reuse

We are running a Sculpture competition where you can create an artwork using plastic-free recycled materials
The competition is free to enter & open to all ages
