Members and friends of the Corrimal Rotary Club and UOW Rotaract Club participated in the trial planting of 350 trees at High Range just west of Mittagong, NSW.

This is the beginning of a District 9675 initiative to plant 10,000 trees in both bushfire affected and degraded areas.
Environmental sustainability is one of our focus areas and in doing this planting we achieve the following benefits:
  1. Carbon storage,
  2. habitat biodiversity,
  3. a cooler earth,
  4. groundwater retention and reduction of erosion,
  5. habitat corridors to support wildlife movement,
  6. reduction in global warming and
  7. increased areas for human enjoyment.
All trees are selected because they are native to the area being planted.
'Adopt a Tree' and join us at the next planting scheduled for September.
